Vienna, Austria: – enGenes Biotech GmbH (enGenes) will share details of its progress towards the world’s first platform for truly continuous production of plasmid DNA (pDNA) with the bioscience community at the 44thInternational Symposium on the Separation of Proteins, Peptides and Polynucleotides (ISPPP) in Munich.
As part of the Continuous and Intensified Processing session, enGenes Senior Bioprocess Scientist Dr. Markus Berg will present “Continuous Downstream Processing for Plasmid DNA: Advances in Integrated Separation and Purification.” (November 10th at 16:50)
Urgent need
Dr. Berg will provide background on the formation of the iCAP (Integrated Continuous and Automated Platform for Plasmid Production) project to address the growing need for more efficient and scalable separation of plasmid DNA, a critical step in producing gene therapy vectors, mRNA vaccines, and DNA-based therapeutics.
The project reunites enGenes with established partners Novasign GmbH and Qubicon AG, having previously collaborated on the EConti project for continuous protein production.
